Ever since their first demo was played by Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 1 in 2002 the Fades have had an extensive, successful, often turbulent and extremely varied career
They have toured all over the UK and Europe and released records in the UK and US. With songs featured on a number of TV shows, DVD's and many radio playlists around the World. Probably best known for their truly exciting and unpredictable live shows however, The Fades have never seemingly managed to capture this exhilarating experience on tape
Finally succumbing to requests for a live album, in December 2009 The Fades dusted off their guitars, drank (a lot) and headed into a sweaty rehearsal room in Acton, West London to set up and record their set completely live
The session started well, the band had already been partying for days before a note had been played and quickly started jamming some improvised riffs, with a brand new improvised song ‘Free Camera' coming together whilst getting their sound levels. Throughout the afternoon a small crowd gathered in the studio and the party continued. As the magic started to happen it was only a matter of time before someone's trousers fell down and clothes were taken off (during ‘You Say') or someone got run-over doing another beer run
Fans will be glad to know they have not faltered in their resurgent assault on their equipment and your hi-fi, and the usual Molotov cocktail of humour and adrenalin comes smashing in through your speakers
This exclusive recording of the current live set entitled "Muvva..... I'm a Drunk" will be available through Cranky Girl Records, documenting the energetic and enthusiastic rock ‘n roll debauchery they promise to once again bring to a town near you very soon
