The Debut formed back in late 2010 after a split from previous projects. The new line-up began writing and recording demos with sights set firmly on getting their music out to the masses. After a lot of hard work The Debut began to establish themselves as a crowd favourite with energetic and emotion fuelled performances and have gained a constantly growing fanbase.
2010 was a year of blood, sweat and tears, but despite all the ups and downs The Debut were more determined than ever to make 2011 their year! With songs at the ready they called upon producer Jason Wilcock (You Me At Six, Fightstar) of Stakeout Studios to bring their songs to life. Inspired to get themselves seen by people all over the globe The Debut worked with Daniel Broadley to make a video for their song ‘Fools Gold’. Upon its release the band received an overwhelming response from fans, bands and industry alike. Proving that their devotion and initiative pays off, it has received over 12,000 views to date after being online just a couple of months.
After watching one of The Debut’s not to be missed shows at London’s Barfly, Ian Big E Jenkins approached the band and offered them management. With Precision Pro Management 2011 has seen them focus on looking toward the future, and they have been playing gigs for promoters Kilimanjaro and the Hot Damn! Nightclub. Following their success with ‘Fools Gold’ and relishing the opportunity to get out there get their hands on anything and everything possible the band were chosen by the winners of the Red Bull Bedroom Jam competition to play at Hevy Festival 2011. The future holds a number of exciting things for The Debut including the production of their second video, touring, and plans to head back to the studio with Jason Wilcock.
With an attitude that can conquer anything and a fierce dedication, the 5 piece pop/rock band from London are on their way to becoming a huge part of the alternative music scene in the UK and across the world.
