Another week another promising new UK hardcore band; this tome hailing from the South-East and delivering the kind of coruscating aggression that takes a healthy nod towards the sound purveyed by the likes of Gallows and Lower Than Atlantis, but also suggests theres been time spent listening to the more direct hardcore rage offered by This Is Hell and betrayed. Pissed off to the max, Take Courage take no prisoners on short, sharp bile laden tracks like 'VS' and 'Dear Hungry Heart'. While Rifles may be a longer number but its no less abrasive; with some impressively spleen venting vocals and a nasty breakdown towards the end of the song. They're not all about the aggression and negativity though, as the spoken word section which ends this six song EP ends on an almost-optimistic note - also proving they have the potential to go to some interesting placees on their nest release. - A SHORT FANZINE ABOUT ROCKING ISSUE 26 SPRING 2010
