DJ Pdex is fast becoming known as one of the few Drum & Bass DJ's to step out of the D&B scene to make a name for himself as a DJ with cross-genre appeal, just as at home playing in front of 4500 Enter Shikari fans at Brixton Academy as he is smashing up a grimey north-London basement rave at 4 AM.
Known for being able to mash together artists as diverse as Sub Focus, Oasis, Chase and Status, Wycleff, AC/DC, La Roux, Beastie Boys and Hillary Duff in to a non-stop D&B tearout that consistently packs out shows. He has played as main support on Enter Shikari's recent sold-out tours, as well as rammed out D&B nights alongside some of the scenes biggest names, such as Goldie, Grooverider, Chase and Status, DJ Marky, Original Sin, Sigma, Wickaman and many, many more.
He now has over 400 shows under his belt, with performances ranging from Oxford college balls, big rock shows, charity events, boat parties, high profile podcast broadcasts, D&B raves, XFM and NME club nights as well as a sold-out show at the 2009 Great Escape festival.
Aside from performing he co-hosts the Knowledge magazine podcast with GLP (www.kmag.co.uk) , and co-runs Uprooted Music, a small collective that puts out monthly podcasts, blog posts and music reviews that are published both independently as well for Knowledge magazine and ResidentAdvisor.
In 2010, he co-founded In The Fade Records with Matt Brinkworth to coincide with the launch of his debut EP, Colours In Sound Vol.1. The EP was greatly received and the limited edition physical run sold out soon after its release. Fans can now download the EP for free from this site.
