Music Glue - The Band Is The Brand

NIGHT HERONS

Formed in late 2007, Night Herons are a female fronted five piece hailing from Leeds and Bradford. Having played numerous successful gigs around West Yorkshire at venues such as Leeds’ Cockpit and The Love Apple in Bradford, they’re starting to cause a musical stir with their unique sound. They’ve recently enjoyed radio play on BBC Radio 1 with Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw, BBC Radio Sheffield Raw Talent with Iain Hodgson and, in addition, they've been played on BBC Radio 6 Introducing with Tom Robinson. Their new songs have attracted attention and praise from numerous musical sources and critics. With a unique sound and a massive array of influences, Night Herons are hoping to have an eventful future.

''This seven track demo relates to the more modern indie band but with more personality and a more individual and unique sound. This is particularly emphasized by the lead female vocals, sounding similar to early Debbie Harry particularly on 'Systematic Error', which gives each track a more distinctive sound in comparison to its peers.'' - Sandman Magazine

''Emotive Atmospherics'' - Glasswerk

''Night Herons are back with a new sound and a fresh set of songs. The Leeds five piece create an original sound fusing the vocal styles of La roux with a kind of epic Joy Division style guitar section.'' - Beep! Magazine

''Deep and resounding.'' - Annie Mac of Radio 1

''This band have got a long way to go, but take serious notice of their name because hopefully 2010 will bring them more of the recognition and encouragement they deserve'' - LeedsMusicScene.net

''Without doubt, a promising start'' - Whisperin' and Hollerin'
