Me-One is Jamaican patois for "all alone" and the adopted name of this
singer/songwriter for that reason. Blending folk, soul, reggae and hip
hop with a unique vocal style and conscious lyrics, Me-One was the
first MC in the UK to strum the guitar and almost certainly influenced
others.
The uniqueness of Me-One was first spotted by Simon
Aldridge ( then at ZTT ) in 1996. He was signed to East West a year
later and then to Island Records courtesy of Darcus Beese.
The
next album from Me One entitled "Less Is More" ( featuring Capleton,
Maxi Priest and Lynden David Hall ) will drop this year on the Frenemy
label.
Me-One has also written with the legendary Jeff Beck for
his album "Jeff" and is currently writing with 'Maxi Priest' and 'The
Prodigy'.
