Please let me have the honour of introducing you to the United Kingdom's greatest funk band; MEAN POPPA LEAN! This group of four virile young men are the latest in a long line of talented squires to emerge from Brighton's fertile music scene; however they are by no means another identikit Indie band. Mean Poppa Lean play a hard, violent, fast-paced blend of funk, soul and hard rock, drawing influences from all across musical history and churning out hard-hitting grooves which you won't hear anywhere else.
They play a live show better than any other band, inciting even the most cynical audience to sing along and getting everyone onto the dance floor with their dirty grooves. Their flamboyant costumes and tightly choreographed dance moves show that Mean Poppa Lean have the balls to do what other bands don't, or can't, and as a result the girls outnumber the guys two-to-one at every gig
