Literally hundreds of songs, countless gigs and two albums since she burst on to the Spanish music scene, Makovski is back with an A-list record in every aspect: the sound, the style, the band.

Nobody that's listened to the new songs and is familiar with Maika's career is in any doubt: this record is a huge leap surrounding Maika's rawness with warm and seductive atmospheres, meshing her electric side with the more intimate and acoustic aspect of her music, like an improved fusion of her earlier works.

Production duties come courtesy of John Parish (Pj Harvey, Eels, Dominique A, Tracy Chapman...), with collaborations from Jim Barr (Portishead) and Billy Fuller (Robert Plant), as well as Pete Judge on trumpet. It was recorded in the UK by Ali Chant and Paul Corkett (Placebo, Nick Cave, The Cure, Radiohead...) and mixed by Corkett at Moles studio (Bath).
