Madison Cano is an Indie Folk/ Pop band from Madrid, Spain. The lead singer and songrwiter for the band, Madison, was born in California and moved to New York City at the age of seventeen where she attributes the majority of her musical influences. In 2007, she relocated to Madrid where she put together the five piece band as it is known today; with lead guitarist Tony Cabo, pianist Sergio Valdehita, bassist Sergio Alarcón and drummer Pablo Ruiz.
Since then, Madison Cano, the band, has been filling bars, astonishing crowds, and building a steady momentum- drawing media attention in and around the indie scene for their dynamic live performances, provocative and catchy melodies, and Madison’s powerful vocals, which critics have hailed as “jaw droppingly beautiful” and “simply magical”. Their highly anticipated CD, “Pulleys, Levers, and Other Simple Machines”, is set to be released in early 2011 with some of their most popular songs, including “We Might Survive”, “Let Her Run”, “Autumn Song” and “Float”.
