The Lomax is an iconic 90's Liverpool music venue spread over three floors. Its stage has been graced by the likes of Radiohead, Muse, Oasis, Stereophonics, Coldplay, Placebo, Dodgy, The Mission and Turin Brakes. Local legends all played there as well: Ian McNabb, Ian McCulloch, ian Broudie, Pete Wylie, and Ian Prowse to name but a few of the many. After too many years wearing various disguises the Lomax is back where it belongs, in the hearts and minds of the city's musicians and music lovers.

The Cellar Bar is an oasis of acoustic performances. Being a hangout of many of the cities up and coming performers. You can often hear a stripped back version of a song well before you hear the full band version further down the line.

Our Open Stage (which is whenever we're open) is a well established go to place for those wishing to try out new material in the company of like minded idiots.

The band nights upstairs bring you the best in local, regional, national and international performers at least three nights a week. We are an ethical venue, treating both musicians and music lovers with respect. All the door monies raised on our Lomax presents nights go directly to the performers on the night.

The Last Truly Independent music venue in Liverpool.

Stress Free Giggage is what we do.

See you at the front.
