Acclaimed Underground UK London acid house duo, Toby Slade-Baker and Miles Sagnia are ‘Living City’ Their DJ sets take you through deep house textures, tech territory and the deeper end of the techno spectrum, never forgetting the funk that bubbles the soul. Electrifying dance floors with a tight, steady, unexpected mix, the boys have won many admirers along the way along with industry press IDJ, DJ Mag and Mixmag who have all either reviewd the releases or interviewed the boys themselves.

Living City started out with a residency in ’97 playing progressive house at the Q club in Cambridge and have since had residencies at More Tea Vicar, The Big Beat Boutique, Circo Loco UK, Wildlife….

In 2004 living city’s debut production collaboration ‘Steppin’ Out’ was picked up and licensed to Eddie Richards’ Fabric 16 dj mix. This was a vital heads up from the godfather of the UK underground tech/house scene. With his endorsement Living City had landed on their production feet. This steeled their resolve to finally begin an imprint and dedicate themselves to the cause.

They followed up with a 4 tracker which on Tony Thomas’ Ambiosphere recordings. Featuring an edit of Steppin’ Out as well as a world-y building acid house number called Tibetan Calling which features real Tibetan monk samples and was picked up by DJs all over the world.

Soon after the boys were asked by label boss of Liquid Sound to remix the single from the latest Orb album. ‘Vuja De’ which was released towards the end of 2007.

Since then Miles has started his own imprint ‘Atmospheric Existence Recordings’ concentrating on the deeper side of Detroit influenced house and techno. Toby works in music publishing, a+r and composition while DJing internationally at industry events including the Cannes film festivals every year, and producing / remixing for up and coming artists.

Living City have a unique approach to music that encompasses many shades of rhythm and has received support from a huge list of respected djs worldwide. As DJs Living city rock the floor with an indomitable style that steers away from the well trodden paths and embraces the abstract, while keeping hearts and feet firmly on the dancefloor….
