I write and record songs, and perform them live with Bish, Irfan and Koji.I was born in London in 1988 between a German father and a Japanese mother. I spent my childhood in Tokyo, London, and Berlin. Music from each place influenced me. Hope you enjoy the music!

BBC Juicebox xmas gig review

The Juice Box event at the flag, where Ken Kobayashi & Friends played among The Thirst, The Duffle Folks and other bands was featured in a BBC article. The author Kelly Betts Writes...

"......Ken Kobayashi followed, they are an indie/ electro pop four piece from Japanese origin, you can hear how this has influenced their music. They announced that they normally have a drummer but he was absent, so a friend stood in on the bongos. It was a night of swapping instruments and stepping out if the norm, but hey it worked and it is Christmas! They even had software synths coming from a mac. Their sound was upbeat, fun and very different to anything I had heard before......"
