JINJA SAFARI ANNOUNCE NEW SHOWS

June 18, 2015

To celebrate the release of their first single in two years, Jinja Safari will pack up their collection of unconventional instruments and hit the road for a string of shows starting this July.

The Find My Way Tour will visit the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney, followed by Woolly Mammoth in Brisbane and Melbourne’s Howler.

Known for their eccentric and high-energy performances, Jinja Safari are excited to bring their antics out from the confines of Pepa Knight’s tipi studio and back onto the stage.

“It feels very surreal and exciting to be playing together again,” says Knight.

“We have written a bunch of fresh new songs that we are keen to showcase as well as some oldies that we just rediscovered on Spotify.”

Handpicked by triple j Unearthed back in 2010 to play Splendour In The Grass, and invited back twice since, Jinja Safari have graced festival bills such as Big Day Out, Falls, Southbound and Bestival (UK). They’ve also enjoyed sold-out club shows across the country and overseas in London and New York.

The band’s live show combined with their unique world music-inspired back catalogue has ensured Jinja Safari have carved out their own distinguishing niche in the Australian music scene.

Don’t miss your opportunity to be taken on a global journey with Jinja Safari as they re-live their most-popular hits and debut the newest track, ‘Find My Way’ on stage.

Supporting Jinja Safari on tour will be Central Coast indie-rock revellers, Sea Legs.
