'FTK – Feed The Kid' came to life in early 2018 after Curtis Taylor and Ciaran Egan drafted 2 new members; Thomas May (guitar), Andy Fletcher (bass), into their previously named project 'Feed The Kid'.
Writing and recording throughout the spring & summer at MMB Studios in Manchester's Northern Quarter (England), the newly formed group of individuals set out to express their shared concern of the distinct lack of morals in today’s modern society, and voice those opinions under the 'FTK' banner.
MANCHESTER’S FTK – FEED THE KID ANNOUNCE DOUBLE A-SIDE
Feed The Kid are thrilled to announce their first double A side of 2019, ‘Deja Daydream’ & ‘Tight Leash’. Both tracks will be released through DITTO MUSIC on 15th March (available on all major platforms including Spotify and iTunes).
The singles both depict the current working-class social climate by describing the monotonous, repetitive, crippling nature of everyday life.
‘Deja Daydream’ in particular is a soothing, peaceful, melancholic loop which manifest the Groundhog Day nature of our existence. In comparison ‘Tight Leash’ is an ugly, hard hitting, blues driven track with no holes barred. It has Mancunian characteristics laced through every beat and tone yet it cements itself as a new musical constituent, it is a future Manc classic.
FTK will play Thousand Island, London 6th March, & Band On The Wall, Manchester 23rd March.

“Part Gorillaz, part Simple Minds, it’s dense and hypnotic, reaching back into promising-you-a-miracle eighties with a swirling psychedelic wash, giving it a polished, ‘now’ edge”

“ Bluesy psych... helmed by Taylor’s rough-hewn vocal that governs the retro-esque melodies which reverberate in a haze of hypnotic layers. “
