To say Doc Brown are eclectic would be an understatement. Comfortable with funky grooves and rock & roll riffs they paint a different picture with each catchy tune.

"Having 6 band members means all sorts of influences are brought to our compositions." says band leader Michael. "Two of our band comes from jazz backgrounds, Hannah sings soul, whereas I'm much more influenced by the blues and country. Bringing these different influences together produces some interesting sets."

Included in their original material are tunes such as Triagnal and Monkfish, the latter of which is an light enjoyable ode to 70's Cop drama's. Other songs talk about deeper issues such as 'Conversations' which tells stories of those on the margins of society and how we treat them. 'Tell It As It Is' which engages with Hollywood's propensity to deal with hard issues but give light and glib answers.

Their sets also explore music from other artists including Pink Floyd and Canadian singer Harry Manx. Michael says "I'm always taken with Manx's unique blend of traditional blues and Eastern music. His writing has a wonderful folky feel that deals with some deep issues but also includes some great humour. I try to take this style of writing, along with the strong influence I feel from other artists such as Ryan Adams and blend them into my own songs."
