Doal Drummer are an Alt/Shoegaze band formed in 2008 in the Northwest and are currently based in Preston.
They make dark, brooding music infused with dry humour and more than a little venom. Taking influences as diverse as Bauhaus through to Ian Brown the band create an instantly idiosyncatic and recognisable sound, mixing crisp stabbing guitars and crunching synths underpinned by an intensely thought provoking and inventive rhythm section.
The band have to be seen live to be fully appreciated but for now enjoy their free tracks on music glue.
