Dirty Weekend are the bi-product of a 100 bad nights out with bad people, on bad drugs, in bad cities, "this surely must equal a bad band you say!" Well I suppose you can make your own mind up about that. Basically life was boring so we formed a band. We've done over 200 gigs in the last 2 years or so, taking in cities all over the UK. I Always struggle to compartmentalize our sound, the music we write is normally the sum of a horrendous come down with occasional flashes of the Saturday night previous. We like unfashionable bands like Gentle Giant and King Crimson but still have a penchant for a good old fashioned anthem, we were all starry eyed Oasis loving kids at one point. I don't really know what the future has in stall for us lot, wouldn't mind conquering the world one day, but then again that does seem like a lot of hard work.
