Less than one year after releasing a third EP, Montreal trio Dear Criminals is following up with a fourth album called Strip.

All five songs featured on Strip, including a double track, were recorded at legendary La Frette Studios just outside Paris. The group spent seven days recording, emerging from the sessions with beautifully melodic tracks where warm vocals make for the perfect counterbalance to a chillier instrumental backdrop. The softness and vulnerability of the band’s signature sound are broken up by electro rhythms that are both subtle and seductive. This time around, Dear Criminals offers a refined, minimalistic electro-folk album where every note and every silence is measured and deliberate.

To produce this latest EP, the band turned once again to *Philippe Brault *(Pierre Lapointe, Random Recipe), with whom they’ve worked with since the beginning. This long-lasting and productive partnership is without a doubt a major contributing factor to the trio’s creative universe. *Mark Lawson *(Arcade Fire, Timber Timbre, The Unicorns), who also mixed Crave, joined the team once again for Strip.
