In the Summer of 2006 Dan Crook (20years) and his sister Cat Crook (16years) won a demo competition created by local promoters in Southend-on-Sea, beating over a hundred other demo entries and earning themselves a 2 page spread in the local newspaper and a spot on the main stage at Shopland and Sutton Farm Music Festival. Under the banner of ‘The Shadrack', they recruited a second guitarist and drummer to play the main stage of the festival  and for the possibility of a place at V Festival. The set was flawless on the day, but the latter opportunity of a slot at V Festival never materialised, subsequently leaving Dan to continue with his plan of travelling and busking around Australasia. Unsuprisingly, under the young reigns of his barely teenage sister, the band unofficially dissolved after The Shopland Festival.

After two months of Indonesian waves, Dan travelled to West Australia with the intention to perform again. Within two weeks he was street performing in Perth 6 days a week for a living, making enough dollars through playing his own material to live in the thriving musical town of Fremantle.

In the following four months he enjoyed a rollercoaster ride as his dream of being a full time musician became reality. Rendezvous and photo shoots with Virgin Records A&R Scouts, gigs with three men crowds, a residency for two months in a local music cafe, sleeping in his surfboard bag on a trampoline, playing 21st birthday party background music and recording his own E.P through his street performing merit alone were just a few of his adventures in this time. His self produced ‘A Busker's Recording's' E.P was just one of the end products of his time travelling.

However, with the one year hiatus of Dan's travelling adventures over, the siblings have now reformed, self named and with Cat taking up the drums, leaving Dan to play guitar and his newly found, homemade toy, the stomp box.

Since his return on October 17th, they've been featured on BBC ESSEX, played London and just last month finished their long awaited EP which sold out at their unofficial EP release at The Chinnerys on the 10th April.
