Music Glue - The Band Is The Brand

Chance & The Lucky Aces

A cow bell solo? And on your first single? WTF!!!

Welcome to the unconventional world of newly spat-out Leeds rockers 'Chance & The Lucky Aces'.

The band's first single - 'I Shot A Frenchman At Agincourt' - is a joyous non-PC three minute slice of frenetic, old school punk, the bastard offspring of what happens when you lock three amateur musicians in a recording studio with a professional drummer and give them two hours to come up with a masterpiece.

The song is already being featured on the soundtrack to the film Killing Amy due for release later this year. Naturally a film about a modern day serial killer demands a song about a battle in the Hundred Years' War...

'I Shot A Frenchman...' is available from iTunes, Amazon, HMV Digital, Napster, Tesco Entertainment, Emusic.com and 7Digital and you can follow the band on Facebook, MySpace and Reverbnation. The video for the track is available on 5YLAC.com and YouTube.

All proceeds from the single will go towards buying alcohol for starving artists in West Yorkshire.... namely: Chance - the singing Svengali; Dave Maguire - strung out on six strings; Phil Faulks - bass(tard) guitar; Dave Jones - likes to sit at the back and hit things
