ARCAVES are an alternative pop band from Southend, Essex, UK. In the back of a broken down car in a pine forest in Sweden 2014, ARCAVES were formed. After selling their car to pay for flights back to the UK, the band locked themselves away in a Southend studio to craft their unique take on pop.
They emerged in 2015 to win Essex Undiscovered and supported Nothing but Thieves and Coasts; culminating in opening the Sure Arena at V Festival 2015.
In early 2016 ARCAVES took part in the PAIX project to record their cover version of Eagles of Death Metal’s ‘I Love You All The Time’ for the victims of the terrorist attack in Paris. As a result, ARCAVES appeared on ITV News. EODM also included their track alongside the likes of Florence & The Machine, Kings of Leon and Elton John.
ARCAVES influences include musicians such as London Grammar, Jamie Woon, Chet Faker and The XX.
"Billy Wright exudes charisma like a true front man should, supplemented by a beautifully melodic, yet loud and fun sound, Arcaves make pop cool." The Independent
“Arcaves… Where do I start? The band work tirelessly to create this unusual yet magnificent musical fivesome of electro, soul, funk and pop. For me, I use three words to describe them; electrifying, thought-provoking and inspiring.” Ollie WB - BBC Introducing in Essex
