Music Glue: Anchorsong

Anchorsong is the solo project by Masaaki Yoshida from Tokyo, Japan. He creates music with sampler (AKAI MPC2000XL) and keyboard(KORG Triton) right in front of the audience. In other words, he re-creates the process of composing on the stage. Some people say, "It's like watching a painter drawing on a white canvas." His live performance's reputation is known internationally through YouTube. He sticks to play "instruments" phisically like a rock band. Every song develops dramatically and sounds like almost "pop" music. His 1st EP "The Storytelling EP" was released as a double disc (CD & LIVE DVD) in Japan on 16/05/2007. On DVD side, besides his solo performance, the collaboration with amazing string quartet is also included. After making his career for 3 years in Tokyo, he has moved to London to play music with a bigger excitement. He's been doing many shows at both live venues and night clubs.
