Aberrations were formed in 2003 by Canadian Tron McFinger (guitar, piano, vocals) in the city of Düsseldorf, Germany and consists of Düsseldorfer Paul Henri (drums), and Kölner Malte Bunjes (bass).
Live on stage, the band engage in forceful, cathartic performances of energized rock, driven by smart and catchy pop songs. Though volume is clearly one drug of choice, the band do not shy away from composing subtler music that is delicate and sorrowful, achingly honest and beautiful. Taking cues from The Who, Tron describes the music of aberrations as art pop — where a sense of adventure is evident, and where the pop elements are never sacrificed for art.
Aberrations is a band that clearly loves the fearless spirit of '60s guitar rock in equal measures to the sonic attack of artists in the new millenium. A seamless amalgam of acoustic and electric, hooks and harmonies, this is a band that believes entirely in the redemptive spirit of rock and roll.
