Born in Sheffield in 1987 and member of urban electro group 4th Bass, NEM has always been an extremley creative and motivated individual, who regards his music as a means of self expression. He began to take music seriously in 2006 experimenting with his music and over the next few years performed alongside various artists such as Chipmunk, Lethal Bizzle, Wiley, Skinnyman, Bashy, Akala & Tinchy Stryder, amongst others.

Having risen from the grime and hiphop influenced "steel underground" NEM has now opted for a more commercial approach in 2010 with his sound being moderately influenced by both electro and indie music, while maintaining its urban roots, and often including narratives in the lyrics, which is a persistant characteristic of NEM's songs.

20NEM, as he likes to call 2010, sees NEM looking to secure record deals for a selection of singles in an attempt to break through into the mainstream while performing at venues and nightclubs in various UK cities.
