Formed in the summer of 2009 97 Lovers have been recording and performing together out of a shared love for new wave and all things D.I.Y. Their main influences are synth driven bands of the 80's and 90's like the Cure, Talking Heads, and post-punk bands Sonic Youth and the Pixes.
